Story
Experience expert Athiyan (Rajinikanth) is committed to upholding justice, even if it means going against moral principles. When he meets Sharanya (Dushara Vijayan), a brave schoolteacher who opposes injustice, his life takes a dramatic change. Sadly, she is killed in a startling change of events, leaving Athiyan bewildered and confused: Who took her life? How did he get himself unintentionally embroiled in a case that kills an innocent person? And how is he going to reveal who the true offender is? What role does Nataraj (Rana Daggubati) have in the narrative? The movie will provide answers to these questions.
Review
Rajinikanth’s captivating depiction of the menacing encounter expert displays his own flair and charm. The film is full with thrilling action scenes and electric mass moments.
The opposing goals of Rajinikanth’s character, who believes in breaking the law, and Amitabh Bachchan’s, who wants quick retribution for wrongdoers, are well carried out. Amitabh gives his character his all attention, which gives the story more weight.
Engaging conversation enhances Rajinikanth and Rana Daggubati’s moments, showcasing their strong chemistry. Rana gives a terrific performance, particularly when his persona changes in the latter half.
The character of Fahadh Faasil gives the narrative more depth. The film’s profundity is further enhanced by the supporting turns of Manju Warrier and Ritika Singh as well as performers Abhirami, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini, and Rao Ramesh.
The first half is well driven by the murder’s serious turn, and Anirudh’s background soundtrack enhances the visual experience. T.J. Gnanavel, the director, deftly strikes a mix between dramatic narration and action.
The film fails to convey several compelling components that may further enhance the experience, even with a great idea and character development. Sometimes the emotional depth is overshadowed by the serious tone, which makes some portions of the story seem dragged out.
In addition, several of the second half’s scenes may use some tightening to increase speed. The emotional stakes in the movie may have been raised with a more sensible and compelling struggle for Rana’s character.
The investigative sequences are a little tedious at times, and the second half lacks the tension set in the first, which lessens the overall effect even if the primary characters are compelling.
Technical
The soundtrack by Anirudh Ravichander is noteworthy, especially his background score for the action scenes, which ups the suspense in the movie. Although a tighter second half might have enhanced the film’s flow, the editing is adequate. The action is well captured by S.R. Kathir’s cinematography. High production qualities are ensured by producer A. Subaskaran, which adds to the overall attractiveness of the movie.
Conclusion:
Overall, Vettaiyan is a somewhat successful criminal action drama. It has amazing performance and a captivating presence from Rajinikanth, along with intense action sequences and poignant moments. Conversely, the second half lacks the same drive as the first, and certain sequences seem drawn out. In the end, the movie appeals to both Superstar fans and those who like suspenseful action thrillers. If you want to see it, manage your expectations.
