Review

Instead of playing an action-packed character like he usually does, Raj Tarun takes on a part that is both simple and nuanced. His performance is subtle, but powerful.

As a contemporary mother who has a close friendship with her son, Abhirami excels. She has powerful emotional moments, especially in the flashback episode. This part is a worthy successor to her memorable role in Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.

The comedic elements of VTV Ganesh and Hyper Adi provide some entertainment value, and there are some good moments between the main duo in the second part. The remaining actors all do a good job in their parts.

The movie has an interesting idea, but the filmmaker doesn’t really make it work. The protagonist’s strange behavior with women is not adequately explained, and even after the movie is over, viewers are left with unanswered questions. Even though Raj Tarun’s mother’s backstory is given, it is unclear, which makes the protagonist’s actions less comprehensible.

The portrayal of an overly enthusiastic character by Manisha Kandukur frequently feels out of place and unpleasant, which takes away from the main plot. Her erratic actions ruin the tone of the movie.

Veterans Leela Samson and Singeetham Srinivas Rao play supporting roles that don’t really affect the main plot. To increase emotional depth, their scenes may have been scripted more skillfully.

Conclusion

Bhala Unnade, all things considered, has a good idea but weak storytelling. Raj Tarun and Abhirami give respectable performances, but the film suffers from badly done comedy, a grating main character, and pointless situations. Perhaps it would be better to look into alternative entertainment possibilities over the weekend.
